Today, November 11, 2013, we take a step back to reflect on the sacrifices made by our country’s servicemen and servicewomen to ensure that we continue to live and prosper in the greatest country in the world. Now, although we designated today as a special day to thank all of our veterans, we want to remind everyone that we should do this EVERYDAY, not just today.
We truly cannot comprehend what those in the military go through when on the front lines, so that’s why we need to be a source of support for all of those returning from fighting abroad. If it were not for these special men and women, then who knows what are country would look like, or even if the country would be here. Just think about if the Axis had been victorious in WWII. More than likely, the east coast would be speaking German, and the west coast would be talking Japanese. The United States of America would not be the nation it is today if it were not for the sacrifices made by all of our veterans.
So remember to thank a veteran today, but also remember to do it every day. Remember, many have made the ultimate sacrifice, so we need to do whatever we can to help our veterans… every single day.
