Renter’s insurance is a type of insurance that many people don’t even know about. Many renters believe that their possessions are covered under their landlord’s policy. This is not the case! A landlord’s insurance generally only covers the dwelling. For example, if the building a renter lives in is damaged by water, the landlord’s insurance will cover the cost of the repairs. Damage to the building itself is covered. In case of a burglary, however, the renter is NOT covered under the landlord’s policy. In order to be fully protected, a renter must have their own insurance policy. Find out how you can be covered! Visit our website or call us at 800.660.2991.
