For all of our craft beer lovers out there, today we are excited to tell you about our partner Still Hill Brewery, located right in Rocky Hill, Connecticut! Yes, Still Hill is owned by our close friend Scott Barbanel who has a passion for brewing and selecting the finest craft beer. We even had a chance to stop in for a few taste tests and a quick tour, and it was an amazing experience.
Still Hill Brewery has quite the selection when it comes to craft beers, including Red Storm Ryesing, Sluggy Buggy, Still Hill IPA and APA, Chorus Frog, and more. They even have limited and seasonal special releases, including Vanhilla, Alt’rd Hills, and the Nut on the Hill, but you can check out the full selection of beers on their website. Beyond the beers, they also recently added wine to their menu as well, including Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay. You can purchase a few drinks to take home with you, or sit down for a social gathering in the tap room.
Speaking of which, their tap room is truly quite the display, and they aren’t quite a traditional brewery either. Still Hill is located within an industrial park, which may sound unusual, but there’s a good reason for it. Scott, the owner, wanted to keep his operation of crafting beer moving smoothly, but also wanted to open up the tap room to the public at the same time. After they had found the right location for all of their brewing, they completely renovated the tap room to what you see today in the picture below.
They even have an outstanding story about the mural that was painted on the walls of the tap room by local artist Tao LaBossiere.
