When choosing to purchase a new vehicle, there’s quite a few aspects of the car, truck, or SUV that you’re looking for. Perhaps the most important aspect though has to be safety. Sure cars may drive fast, handle superbly, and look ridiculously awesome, but if they can’t protect you in an accident, then what’s the point?
Luckily for us, there’s some people at the Institute for Highway Safety who crash cars for a living (with dummies of course). Now, besides that being a pretty sweet job, it’s so incredibly helpful for everyone driving on the roads as well. We need to know which cars are safe, and also with ones are going to get us hurt in even the most minute of accidents.
Furthermore, don’t you want a safe car to save yourself money on CT auto insurance as well? Basically it’s a win-win… you’re safe, and so is your money! Well you’re in luck, because we have the results from a crash test of small cars (shout out to all you small car lovers out there!), and the results may surprise you!
At the top of the list with a “good” rating is the two door and four door Honda Civic, which tested very well in the front-end crash tests. Those cars receiving an “acceptable” rating were the Dodge Dart, Ford Focus, Hyundai Elantra, and the Scion tC. “Marginal” ratings were given to the Chevy Cruze and the VW Bug. Unfortunately the vehicles that received “poor” ratings were the Nissan Sentra and Kia Soul.
So there’s your results. You have the information. Now go get a safe, reliable small car (if you’re looking to buy one, of course), and remember to stop down to Paradiso Insurance to receive a stellar CT auto insurance policy!
