It’s that timeof year again. The statistics arecollected and the numbers are crunched. That’s right, it’s Connecticut’s most common stolen cars list for 2011!I know this isn’t an exciting topic to hear about, especially if your car madethe list, but at least it’s a good reference to know and be aware of.
Every year,the National Insurance Crime Bureau gathers the data of each state’s auto theftrecords and produces their list of the moststolen cars for each state. Interestingly enough, the list is named “Hot Wheels.”
For our stateof Connecticut, three of the top ten brands were domestic cars, which wereDodge, Ford, and Jeep. Theremaining seven were all imports and include Honda, Acura and Nissan.

Luckily forall drivers in the country, the amount of car thefts in 2011 revealed over athree percent drop from 2010’s number of 737,142.
