Okay, so today is just down right miserable.  There’s literally no better way to describe it than that.  Just last week it was sunny and over sixty degrees, and now it’s overcast, rainy, and plain old raw. While tomorrow looks promising, it’s really starting to get old around here when the weather goes from 65 to 40 in a matter of hours.  But in any event, this rainy and raw weather has us thinking about umbrella insurance.  Why? Here’s why.

For those of you who don’t know what Connecticut umbrella insurance is, or even if you need a little refresher, you’ll see how we make the connection between today’s weather and this important insurance policy.  Basically umbrella insurance is just that, an umbrella.  Say for instance you have an auto policy that covers $50,000 in damages and liabilities.  However you’re involved in a bad accident that unfortunately was your fault, and it’s cost is almost $75,000.  So where does that extra $25,000 come from? Well if you don’t have an umbrella policy, then that money is unfortunately going to come straight out of your pocket.

So that’s where the umbrella comes into play.  It’s basically a safety net for you and your family in case anything serious were to happen and one of your policies couldn’t cover all of the cost.  Just as an umbrella keeps you out of the rain, the Connecticut umbrella insurance policy keeps your savings clear from rainy situations.

So needless to say, you can see how important an umbrella insurance policy can be to your overall financial survival.  Go without one and you run the risk of having to pay significant costs out of your own savings that can easily be avoided.  So if you think this is a policy that’s right for you, give one of us at Paradiso Insurance a call today to schedule an appointment.
