The spring is a great time for checking and fixing your vehicle. When it comes to taking care of a faulty climate control system, you should not wait until hot weather kicks in. In fact, the air conditioner may play an important role in keeping you safe on the road when it rains. Humidity and moisture on the front windshield can create major problems in terms of visibility. In order for foggy layers to disappear from the glass, cool air has flow through. Therefore, the AC system has to be in proper working condition to manage the hazards associated with condensation on windshields. Furthermore, the side mirrors may also fog up on a humid or rainy day. If there are any heating filaments in the mirrors, the fog should dissipate. Make sure that the heating mechanism works right to take care of moisture accumulation on the outdoor mirrors.
There are several steps that you can take to ensure that your car’s tires are in good condition. First, measure the tread with a coin such as a penny or quarter if you don’t have any measuring tool on hand. Then, check the gauge pressure of each tire, which should be at least 30 pounds per square inch as recommended by most auto manufacturers. Carefully look at all of the groves in each one of the four tires of your car. Remove any hard debris that is stuck in these groves that are engineered to displace water, dirt and other particles. You can improve traction significantly by performing such a simple cleaning. However, do not use any sharp tools that could potentially puncture the outer layers of your tires. Avoid using screwdrivers, scissors, and other similar handheld tools. Instead, consider using toothpicks or even cotton swabs to gently loosen up particles in the tread texture.
