Our insurance agency is always involved in giving back, and from now until November we are holding a campaign to raise money for Journey Found. Our goal is to get at least 1,000 people to donate $2 each to Journey Found. The more people we have donating, the bigger outreach we all can have together. Not to mention, our insurance agency promises to match every donation we receive.
If you aren’t aware, Journey Found is a non-profit organization that provides group homes, services, and other types of support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in northern, central, and southeastern Connecticut. In particular, they support Chris’s sister Rachel, so Journey Found really holds a special place in our heart.
Here’s how you can help:
Donate $2 or More
Our main goal is to get 1,000 people to donate at least $2 each to Journey Found, however you can give more. This small donation can be given in the form of a check or online.
If you plan to donate with a check, please make sure to make it payable to Journey Found. All checks can be mailed or hand delivered to our agency at 8 East Main Street, Stafford Springs, Connecticut.
We appreciate every single donation, and our insurance agency promises to match every single donation given during this time period. Remember, the more people we have donating, the bigger outreach we all can have for people with intellectual disabilities.
Spread the Word
In addition to donating, we’re asking everyone to help us spread the word. Please encourage your friends, family, and coworkers to get involved. We’re only asking for $2 from each person and need to reach our goal of 1,000 donors by November.
Additionally, don’t forget to follow us on our social media networks to keep up to date on our goals, help engage our posts, or even create your own to share the campaign with others.
If you’re wondering what your donation does, it does a lot to help individuals with intellectual disabilities.
1. It provides services such as, housing, health care, transportation, recreation, and employment options to disabled individuals who may not be able to receive these services elsewhere. Common things we may take for granted are often inaccessible for individuals with intellectual disabilities, and Journey Found is able to give them the freedom to become active members of society.
2. It provides support to every individual based on their needs. Some individuals may only need assistance for a few hours a day, while others need around the clock care. Either way, the residents of Journey Found receive the individualized care and support they need thanks to charitable donors.
3. It relieves their family from worry. Not only do individuals with intellectual disabilities have to deal with the stresses of modern day activities, but more than not, an individual’s family has to dedicate a lot of time to support and care for them. Plus, it can be even harder as an individual’s parents get older. That’s where Journey Found comes in, and because they are non-profit, families don’t have to worry about the financial expense of services provided by Journey Found. This makes the future for an individual with special needs or intellectual disabilities a lot more stable because support and care will always be there, even when their family can’t be.
Please help us give back to Journey Found and create an amazing life for individuals with intellectual disabilities. We want 1,000 people to come together and support this amazing organization. To make a small donation, click the button below.
